3D shape and then Roman Baths- week 5

We are learning to name and describe the properties of 3D shapes. On Monday we made 3D shapes with straws and white-tac; this made us think about the edges and vertices (corners). On Tuesday we used Polydron and thought about the faces of our shapes. We then sorted these using different properties on Venn diagrams.

Today we went to the Roman Baths, Bath. Here are a few of the hundreds of photographs we took. We had a fantastic time and learnt so much.

  1. Those shapes look (and sound) complicated, I don’t know you remember all their names! I hope you all had a good time at the baths and remembered to wash your hair, behind your ears and in between your toes. What, that’s what you went there for isn’t it?

  2. It sounds like a great day out Lime Class. Molly really enjoyed it, especially as it was her birthday! I remember learning about all those shapes many many years ago when I was at school!
