Term 5

Welcome back everyone. We have had a very busy first week:

– investigating states of matter in our new science topic

– reading and writing Spring poems

– using co-ordinates in maths and practising problem solving, putting into practice all the methods we have used this year. Homework consolidates this.

– clubs have started and we are dancing and playing cricket in PE, please can we all have water bottles this term.

Our English homework this week is to write another Spring poem and as promised here are some examples of the styles we have looked at

(These are photos of the slides we have looked at in class. Please search online for lots more information )

Your poems do not have to be from the above samples, you can write your own poem in the traditional style.

End of Term 4, Happy Easter Everyone

We had a lovely day for walking to church for our Easter Service.

We also had a quick assembly, where Skye was awarded 3 certificates which she missed in the last KS2 school meeting and then many of Lime Class were awarded 100% attendance certificates-well done everyone 😀👍

We then then had to say goodbye to Sam 😟 Good Luck in your new school Sam. we will miss you!

Earlier in the week we had our Yr3 & 4, house handball competition, which was great fun.

We also made Easter Cards with Mrs Crichard

and completed our topics with presentations of our topic homework. They were fantastic, thank you. I really enjoyed reading them all.

It was also our last judo lessons and Katelyn and Sam won the Gold medals this year. Congratulations both of you!

Finally here are some examples of our Descriptive Writing Hot Tasks…

Have a lovely, well earned Easter Holiday everyone 🐰🐣

Week 6 – completed William Morris pictures and Fencing Club

This morning, we completed our descriptive writing Hot Tasks

(Hot task examples to follow)

and this afternoon most of us finished our William Morris pictures.

The time taken and detail of these are fantastic.

I also took a few pictures of  the after school fencing club

Can you recognise anyone from our class? It looked like you were having lots of fun, well done.

Next week is the last week of term and is very busy; don’t forget we have judo on Monday and Thursday afternoon and it’s our Easter Service, in church, on Friday morning.
